** This year’s theme of “Creating Opportunities” will build upon the foundation of “Representation” by focusing on taking action to create more opportunities for underrepresented voices in the film industry. While “Representation” highlighted the need for more inclusivity and diversity in the industry, “Creating Opportunities” will focus more on practical steps that can be taken to create change, such as providing platforms for emerging and established filmmakers and ensuring that diverse voices are represented in film. With this theme, we will empower those in the industry to make their mark and take action in telling their stories.
