THE MAMMers RETURN
The MAMMers are back! Avant and Opus developed a pitch-package worthy of the illustrious MFM (Money for Movies Inc.). However, Sir Steamrolla denies their application for being “too diverse”. The MAMMers rally, and Dough-Nut puts together a crowdfunding campaign while a group of mysterious figures plot for the MAMMer’s downfall!
VAFFCITY…
A metropolis of Film and Heroes, has never been this peaceful. Thanks to the MAMMers, people of all walks of life can enjoy incredible entertainment without fear.
MEANWHILE AT MAMMer MANOR
The home of our intrepid heroes is abuzz with creative energy! Avant and Opus have put together a brilliant pitch-package like none other. It’s their greatest work yet!
Their next step: Get that MFM (Money for Movies Inc.) Grant so the film can be made!
AT MFM HEADQUARTERS
MFM, Money-For-Movies Inc., is the latest company to offer funding to filmmakers. Opus and Avant stand before the MFM Council giving their pitch, and golly, it’s going swell. Avant explains with poetic words, and Opus explains the vision so vividly, everyone sees it in their mind’s eye.
What’s this? A late arriving Council member? Enter, Sir Steamrolla, and he’s there to crash the party. With his Stamp of Denying, he slams it down on the pitch-package. DENIED! But..why?
In Sir Steamrolla’s eyes, it’s simple. “The film is too diverse! Minorities can’t play leads, they’re just side characters! Without our funding, your project is dead.”
BACK AT MAMMer MANOR
With heavy hearts, Avant and Opus break the news to the team. Maybe they should just give up.
No way! This can’t be! Opus addresses his fellow MAMMers, “We don’t need MFM, we know our idea’s great. We’ll find our own way to get it made!”
Dough-Nut springs into action! She puts together a crowdfunding campaign and calls in some favours for it to be known far and wide. Slowly but surely the money trickles in. It may not be a lot, but it’s enough to get them started.
This project isn’t dead after all!
AT AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION
Three mysterious figures, seething in anger, glare at the MAMMer’s crowdfunding page. “They outsmarted us” cries one, “Who would donate to this project!” cries another… wait, is that Sir Steamrolla. Gasp!
The final figure silences them both. “No need to worry, there’s still plenty of time to foil the MAMMers.” The third figure donates a large sum of money to the campaign. “Typeca$ter, you know what to do next…”
