VAFF is now casting for two active and dynamic models of Asian heritage for its upcoming 23rd annual festival photo shoot!
Get your face on the cover of transit shelter ads, posters, Festival Guides, and Festival Programs this Fall to represent Asians breaking through barriers to achieve new heights. Our photoshoot will visualize the 2019 VAFF theme of NO LIMITASIANS, and will happen in mid-late July. We are now accepting applicants via email through July 12, 2019.
- Sex: 1 male & 1 female, gender nonbinary models welcome.
- Age: 20-40 years of age
- Ethnicity: models of Asian or mixed-Asian heritage*
- Benefits: Have your face represent the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and the Asian diaspora community this Fall 2019 on visual advertising, receive an exclusive invite to our October media launch press event, and special access to our annual festival November 7-10, 2019. You will be invited to attend our swanky Opening Night Screening & Gala Party on November 7th and receive a VIP Festival Pass that will entitle you to priority access to all film screenings during our 4-day festival, all special events, VIP swag bag, and exclusive discounts with specific venue partners at the festival. Mingle with filmmakers, actors, and other industry guests.
Previous modelling or acting experience is preferred. Applicants with movement training are also encouraged. The photo shoot may require some jumping and physical activity in order to capture the intended visuals. If selected, models must be available to attend our photoshoot during the daytime on July 20 and 21, 2019 (the shoot may occur on one or both of these days).

East Asian (including but not limited to Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Mongolian, Taiwanese), Southeast Asian (including but not limited to those from Myanmar [Burma], Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Timor-Leste), Pacific Islander, South Asian and Central Asian (including but not limited to Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh).
